AWTCO is super-excited to present the Olivier & Tony Award-winning smash-hit musical ‘& JULIET,’ putting a hilariously modern twist on the world’s most famous love story!
& JULIET – About the Show
From the Emmy Award-winning mind behind “Schitt’s Creek” comes a hilarious new musical that reimagines Shakespeare’s most famous tale. & JULIET poses the intriguing question: what if Juliet chose herself instead of dying for Romeo? Join us as she abandons her tragic fate and embarks on an extraordinary adventure of self-discovery, embracing new possibilities for life and love on her own terms.
This empowering story comes alive through an irresistible soundtrack of modern pop classics as legendry as Juliet herself, featuring “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life,” “That’s The Way It Is,” “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” “Teenage Dream,” and many more! Every song comes from the chart-topping songwriter/producer who has created more #1 hits than anyone else in the 21st century . Step beyond the balcony and into this hilarious & pure-pop romantic comedy that celebrates finding yourself after heartbreak.
Thank you for your interest in AWTCo’s production of &Juliet. Auditions will be held at 5 McFarland Rd for all auditions.
To be eligible to audition you must be at least 14 as at January 1, 2026.
Audition booking: All people auditioning for an ensemble or named role will need to book an individual acting/singing audition and choose one of the dance auditions. We are also seeking featured dancers who will only need to book a featured dance audition slot (Dance Session 2).
& Juliet will feature an offstage singing ensemble, with plenty to sing given the number of Max Martin hits in this show. If you’re auditioning to join the singing ensemble, just book an individual audition only, no need to book into either of the group dance auditions and add “singing ensemble” in the “role” textbox.
Acting/singing auditions will be held 6-9 pm November 14, and 9:30 to 4 pm November 15.
Dance auditions will be 3-4 pm Sunday November 16 for the general dance audition, and 4 to 5 pm for featured dancer roles. Please select one.
Prior to booking your audition, please ensure you have read the audition pack which contains additional information including expectations, rehearsal information, show dates, character descriptions and what to prepare for the audition.
Dance auditions will require you to learn one of the routines below. Combo 1 for ensemble and named character roles and Combo 2 for the core/featured dance group. View the videos below to learn the routines.
Audition Excerpts
