About Albury Wodonga Theatre Company

Steve as Beast

For over 40 years the Albury Wodonga Theatre Company (AWTCo) has been our city's local and community-based performing arts organisation.

AWTCo strives to produce high quality theatre and musical productions while at the same time providing local performers and crew the chance to get involved and develop their skills.

The recent production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast was one of the largest ever undertaken by the Albury Wodonga Theatre Company, and it certainly provides some wonderful onstage opportunities for local performers... but you might not realise the number of offstage opportunities available: carpentry and metalwork, lighting design, mixing desk and radio mic opperation, painting and visual art design, costume design and creation, make-up artistry, set construction, technical wizardry (like Maurice's car!), publicity & promotion, major event organisation, photography and video, financial administration, leadership & inspiration. Whatever you're interest, you'll find it at AWTCo.

AWTCo is a non-profit group run 100% by local volunteers. In recent years we've been re-invigorated with an influx of talented and energetic people, and we'd love you to join us!

Chorus during Beauty and the Beast

The Albury Wodonga Theatre Company is currently working towards the construction of our city's first community theatre facility. Your support of our productions such as Beauty and the Beast helps bring us a step closer.

Next month on the 23rd of October we'll reprise our performance of John Walker's Flight of the Uiver radio play for AburyCity's 75th Uiver Anniversary Commemoration.

Our next major major musical will be the perennial crowd-pleaser Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan, coming to the Albury Entertainment Centre in May 2010, with auditions December 5th and 6th this year. For more information on auditions or any other enquiries, please use our contact form.
